DEMIGODS is a Liverpool-based hybrid footwear brand built around a single unwavering belief: that foot health and style should coexist without compromise. For us, function and fashion, athletic movement and aesthetic design, have never needed to be in conflict. We design, develop, and deliver our shoes for those who move between worlds. Everyday heroes who invest in their health, care deeply about what goes into their products, and refuse to compromise on how they look. We are a UK limited company, a certified business of 1% for the Planet, and a proud member of the British Footwear Association.

Twelve Labours is our debut shoe model. Zero drop, with a wide anatomical toe box, thin sole, flexible construction, and built-in grounding technology. It has a dual-knit upper that uses merino wool for breathability, odour-resistance, and temperature regulation... with a synthetic outer for durability. Handcrafted in Northern Portugal. It is lightweight and comes in two upper colourways, Obsidian (Black) and Olympian (White), and two sole variants, White and Ichor (Gum).

Shoes built to let your feet work the way they were designed to. No raised heel, so heel and forefoot sit level. A wide toe box, so your toes can spread. A thin, flexible sole, so you feel the ground and your foot muscles do the work a stiff shoe would do for them. Twelve Labours adds the one thing most barefoot shoes lack: it looks like a shoe you would choose anyway.

Each pair of Twelve Labours uses the Bolflex E-Spot Technology. It is a plug in the sole of the shoe that allows for grounding/earthing. It is paired with a conductive foam insole so there is an unbroken path between your foot and the ground beneath the shoe, which gives you the same connection bare feet have on grass, gravel, sand, soil... or any other natural material.

A dual-knit blend of merino wool, polyamide and elastane. It is not 100% merino, and that is deliberate: it combines merino's breathability, odour-resistance and temperature regulation with the stretch and durability of a synthetic outer material.

Portugal has been making some of the best footwear in Europe for a century: small family factories, generations of pattern-cutters and lasting specialists, and labour standards we are happy to put our name to. It costs more than the alternatives. It is the difference between a shoe you keep and a shoe you replace.

EU 36 to EU 46. Twelve Labours is cut on a wide anatomical last, so if you usually size up to give your toes room, start with your normal size. A full size chart with UK and US equivalents will be on the Kickstarter page.

Fair question. DEMIGODS is Demigods Group Limited, a UK company registered in Liverpool. Twelve Labours is made by an established factory in Northern Portugal, not a rendering. We are members of 1% for the Planet and the British Footwear Association. You buy through Kickstarter, which only takes your money if the campaign funds, and the £1 to Unlock Olympus is refundable any time before the campaign opens.
